Stowe Police Association Selects UFPO for Dedicated Representation
Stowe, VT – September 26, 2025 – The Stowe Police Association, who handles roughly one million tourists annually, has chosen to affiliate with the United Federation of Police Officers (UFPO), marking a new chapter in their pursuit of stronger, more engaged union representation. After careful consideration, the Association voted to move forward with UFPO, recognizing the organizations in state resources reputation for advocacy and its commitment to law enforcement professionals across the region.
“Our members wanted a representative body who listens, responds, and delivers results,” said Association President Sergeant Moore. “The UFPO has demonstrated time and again they stand shoulder-to-shoulder with law enforcement, whether at the bargaining table or in moments of crisis. We’re confident this partnership will ensure our members have the support they deserve.”
UFPO leadership welcomed the new partnership, emphasizing its focus on delivering both strong representation and a responsive relationship. “We’re honored to stand with the Stowe Police Association,” said UFPO Representative Sean McArdle. “Their officers serve the community with dedication, and we look forward to making sure they have the same level of protection and advocacy in every aspect of their profession.”
This affiliation underscores a broader shift among Vermont law enforcement associations, many of whom are seeking out unions who offer not only bargaining strength but also hands-on service and reliable support. For the Stowe Police Association, the move to UFPO ensures their members’ voices will be heard and their priorities advanced.
