VT Attorney General’s Office Clears Officer’s Use of Force
The Vermont Attorney General’s Office has concluded its review of the Springfield Officer’s use of force and determined their actions were justified. The United Federation of Police Officers’ response to this critical incident was a major deciding factor for the Springfield Police Association’s decision to join the UFPO.
The United Federation of Police Officers, is grateful the Officer is safe and has been cleared to return to work serving the Springfield community. Incidents like this underscore the reality law enforcement officers are often required to make split second decisions in rapidly evolving and dangerous situations.
